Hoi allemaal,
Woensdagavond 6 november is de vierde bijeenkomst van Prisma Groep Amsterdam Nieuw-West. Wij hebben dan twee biculturele LHBTQI+ gastsprekers. Tofik Dibi en Anaraa Nyamdorj.
- Tofik Dibi is bestuursadviseur in Nieuw-West, schrijver van o.a. het boek "Djinn" en theather voorstelling Melk en Dadels en ex-politicus. Hij is een Marokkaans/Nederlandse moslim en homoseksueel.
- Anaraa [unrah:] Nyamdorj is een Mongolische queer man met trans ervaring, hij zet zich sinds 1997 in voor LHBTQI+ rechten.
Zijn mensenrechtenonderzoek en participatieve belangenbehartiging vanuit de community zijn van onschatbare waarde geweest om de normalisering van LGBTI-rechten in Mongolië te stimuleren. De internationale en binnenlandse mensenrechten award winnaar, LGBT Centre, waarvan hij de medeoprichter is, eerste voorzitter en voormalig uitvoerend directeur is, heeft op nationaal niveau verschillende historische wetswijzigingen doorgevoerd en sociale ruimtes geopend die voorheen ontoegankelijk waren voor LGBTI-mensen door middel van internationale en binnenlandse belangenbehartiging.
Anaraa vluchtte in 2018 uit Mongolië na dreigende doodsbedreigingen en zocht zijn toevlucht in Nederland, waar hij zijn engagement met artistieke expressie voortzet om zijn levensfilosofie van gelijkheid en waardigheid voor iedereen verder te verwoorden en te belichamen.
Anaraa werd genoemd als een van de iconen van de LGBT-geschiedenismaand van 2019.

Uiteraard zal er ook de mogelijkheid zijn om vragen te stellen en eventueel de dialoog aan te gaan.
Het is belangrijk dat jullie je aanmelden, op tijd komen, blijven tot 22.00 uur en anderen respecteren (o.a. door naar elkaar te luisteren). We hebben namelijk veel bezoekers en dan is het juist nog belangrijker om rekening met elkaar te houden.
Als er bijzondere omstandigheden zijn dan kan je altijd contact met ons opnemen voor hulp vanuit Veilige Haven Utrecht, of om bijvoorbeeld aan te geven dat je niet op tijd kan komen of eerder weg moet gaan. Hopelijk tot volgende week donderdag.

Hello everyone,
Wednesday evening November 6 is the fourth meeting of Prisma Groep Amsterdam Nieuw-West. We have two bicultural LGBTQI + guest speakers, Tofik Dibi and Anaraa Nyamdorj. Here is more information about them.
- Tofik Dibi is board advisor in Nieuw West, author of, the book "Djinn" and the theater production Melk en Dadels and ex-politician. He is a Moroccan / Dutch Muslim and gay
- Anaraa [unrah:] Nyamdorj is a Mongolian queer man of trans experience who has worked on LGBTI rights since 1997.
His human rights research and community-based participatory advocacy have been invaluable to push for the normalisation of the LGBTI rights discourse in Mongolia. The international and domestic human rights awards-winning organisation, LGBT Centre, of which he is a co-founder, first Chair and former Executive Director, achieved several historical legislative changes at the national level as well as opening of social spaces that were previously inaccessible to LGBTI people through international and domestic advocacy efforts.
Anaraa fled Mongolia in 2018 following imminent death threats and sought refuge in the Netherlands where he continues to pursue his engagement with artistic expression to further articulate and embody his life philosophy of equality and dignity for all.
Anaraa was named as one of the icons of LGBT History Month of 2019

It is important to sign up, to be there on time, to stay till 10 p.m. and to respect each other (for example by listening to each other). We have many visitors, so it is very important to take each other into consideration.
