Hoi allemaal,
Woensdagavond 1 mei is de 3e kwartaalbijeenkomst van het Buddy Project. Tijdens deze bijeenkomst zullen biculturele LHBTQI+ van andere organisaties komen vertellen over hun initiatieven en ook over zichzelf.
Een van de organisaties die komt is:
Teddy Lyon de oprichter van Open Closed LGBT Netherlands.
Een van de andere sprekers is:
Sherwyn Williams, uit Trinidad en Tobago. Die zichzelf identificeert als homo/non-conform. Leeftijd 39, heeft public relations, communicatie & politicologie gestudeerd. Is al 21 jaar journalist, werkte als politiek mediaconsult en organiseerde vele radioshows. Een voor 9 jaar voordat Sherwyn naar Nederland kwam, Sherwyn werkte voor de nationale voetbalbond als public relations officier. Sherwyn is hier met hun partner. Hen is ook vrijwilliger van de Prisma Groep.
Uiteraard zal er ook de mogelijkheid zijn om vragen te stellen en eventueel de dialoog aan te gaan.
Het is belangrijk dat jullie je aanmelden, op tijd komen, blijven tot 22.00 uur en anderen respecteren (o.a. door naar elkaar te luisteren). We hebben namelijk veel bezoekers en dan is het juist nog belangrijker om rekening met elkaar te houden.
Als er bijzondere omstandigheden zijn dan kan je altijd contact met ons opnemen voor hulp vanuit Veilige Haven Utrecht, of om bijvoorbeeld aan te geven dat je niet op tijd kan komen of eerder weg moet gaan. Hopelijk tot volgende week donderdag.

Hello everyone,
Wednesday evening May 1 is the 3rd meeting of the Buddy Project. During this meeting bicultural LGBTQI + from other organizations will talk about their initiatives and also about themselves.
One of the organizations who is coming is: Teddy Lyon the founder of Open Closed LGBT Netherlands.
One of the other speakers is:
Sherwyn Williams, from Trinidad and Tobago. Who identifies theyself as gay/ non- conform. Age 39, study public relations, communication & political science. Have been a journalist for 21 years, worked as a political media consult/ hosted many radio shows. One for 9 years & before coming the the Netherlands, Sherwyn worked for the national football association as a public relations officer. Sherwyn is here with they partner. They is also a volunteer of the Prismagroep
Of course, there will also be room for questions and to go into dialogue with each other.
It is important to sign up, to be there on time, to stay till 10 p.m. and to respect each other (for example by listening to each other). We have many visitors, so it is very important to take each other into consideration.
If there are special circumstances, you can always contact us for help from Veilige Haven Utrecht, or to indicate, for example, that you cannot arrive on time or must leave earlier. Hope to see you next Thursday.
